Oriental Beauty is harvested from the young leaves after they have been bitten by the tiny green leaf-hopper Jacobiasca formosana. When the tea plant is bitten, its defense mechanism secretes a specific hormone for preservation. This hormone initiates the intensive oxidation, which ultimately adds sweet and spicy aromas.
The tea leaves produce deep amber-colored tea broth that is rich and delightful. Each tea infusion offers notes of honey and complements by a pleasant aroma of sweet muscat grapes.Brew: 5 grams・150 ml・210° F・1 min
